As soon as I posted the success of the Baggie filled with water and the pennies to keep flies and wasps away-a wasp appeared. Don't want to be a liar so had to tell you. I think I may have hung this too late and perhaps he's already started something on top of my roof.  Sorry!

Really surprised this works but it does. This is a baggie filled with water and pennies hanging up on the deck. It keeps the flies and wasps away.

I was watching TV when a little skunk walked by the French door. I looked out the back and saw him jump through the gate and wiggle himself under the little deck right behind the cement block!! Oh dear...so glad the dog was in the house.

What is it about these flowers from my friend's garden that brings lightness to the day?  They are so fresh and heavy that when I touched them I thought  they were rubber. Such a loved flower...from the Son who loves all of us.

My friend came over to walk and I had the opportunity to introduce her to another friend who is a post-op cancer patient. In a short period of time they inspired one another ! It was beautiful.

This is a very important time in your life. It's a major milestone whether its kindergarten, Eighth grade, High School, or college. For me it was my from my School of Nursing in Montana. It was 48 years ago today... Just remembering.

Everything is Not About Sex:

I was about to walk into a grocery store yesterday and first grabbed a small carrying basket. It was stuck to another one. I couldn't pull them apart so I picked  another. It was stuck again. On my third choice an old man from my neighborhood (who has never spoken to me in 13 years) grabs the first one I  tried, and pulls and pulls to no avail and says, "it must be mating season!"   I'm glad he hasn't spoken to me before. And it's okay if he doesn't ever again. Some people "sexualize" everything. That's not a good sign. I know.
