Come Home:

*****
WELCOME

St. Joseph's in Capitola welcomes you to attend Mass.
You do not have to be Catholic to come and hear the word of God.
You can show up because you are curious, or down trodden or
exploring religions or maybe you just want to come HOME again.

The season of Lent is not that far off.
Someone always says, "it may be your last so make it your best!"
And by the way,  YOU are welcome in all Catholic churches.
Come back home!
We miss you.

How to Television :

*****

In the last 24 hours watching television I have been shown how to make
a deadly weapon out of a disposable coffee lid  and how to rip off gift cards and make hundreds
of dollars.

REALLY?

SHAME ON YOU!

Support Programs for Healing:

Thank you for all who have purchased either an e-book reader
or the soft cover print on demand copy of
"Under My Roof ~ A Mother's Story of the Heinous Crime of Incest."
I was happy to again present the royalties to the Survivors Healing Center.

This can be a difficult book to read because of the subject but
it answers questions about how it can happen and you will recognize
red flags that were not apparent in earlier years.

People are speaking out now and we are all becoming educated.
Support groups are available for help locally. Hopefully 2013 will also
be another good year in supporting the groups at SHC.

Spread the word. Tells therapists, the cops, doctors, nurses, and teachers.
Buy them a copy to read.

What is Confession?

Confession is like a practice
of a lover apologizing to his beloved!
( I don't know who said this)

Confession is called reconciliation for those who have not
been in a long time and it is also a practice that can
be done face to face.

Having ones sins resolved through the power of the priest
and doing a penance brings about an
indescribable sense of peace.

I can remember floating out of the
church after confession when I was a child.
I still have that feeling of gratitude and peaceful floating...

Do you have any stories to tell?  Well, I know you do
but maybe you don't want to post them exactly and that
would be understandable.

Bless me Father, for I have sinned...

Good Handwashing:

There is such an outbreak of flu and those types of symptoms that it is good gto have a reminder of good handwashing.

I have a friend in the hospital and a relative down in bed coughing, sore throat, etc. Please take care and keep away from those who are sick and in denial!!

Either sing "Happy Birthday" or say the" Hail Mary"prayer and you will have soaped up, used friction and rinsed appropriately!
